It is done!

Today I accomplished two of the goals I have set for myself. I took the GRE and completed my application to graduate school! I didn't do quite as well as I had hoped on the test, but have time to retake it should the need arise. There are several items that are considered for admission and the GRE is merely one of them. There is no "minimum" score required for the Master's program that I want to do, only the doctoral. Will keep you posted as to application status. It will most likely be quite awhile before I hear something considering the application deadline for Spring isn't until January.
It feels great to have already accomplished two of the goals I set for myself! I am still pursuing the half marathon training in this awful, humid weather. I opted for a treadmill run this evening as opposed to my normal outside training because it was still 100 degrees at 5:30 this evening. I knew if I tried to wait to run tonight outside it would be far past a reasonable time to be out alone. Treadmill running is extremely hard on my joints and takes more out of me than running outside, so I am bit sore tonight. Fortunately, as I was returning from the gym the BF was here with ICE CREAM! I love that guy! He said it was a "post test" ice cream night. I reminded him that I needed no excuse to eat ice cream.
My summer is pretty much over now, I start training tomorrow and have three more days next week as well as somehow finding time to work in my classroom. I am anxious to get back to work. I have most definitely enjoyed my time off, but truly do miss being in the classroom each day with my little bitties! I went up to my former summer school classroom to retrieve some of my classroom items and even those guys were excited when I visited. I was told they had all been asking about me even though I only taught them for one week. What a blessing it is to have such a fulfilling job.
It is exhausting at times, but in the end worth it. The thing I have missed the most this summer is the sound of my little ones laughing. I can't wait to hear it again! I suppose I should attempt to get into bed for the night and rest up for my allllllllll day training tomorrow. PECS, picture exchange communication system, is very useful for my non-verbal babies and the training will be beneficial just long. Two days worth of LONG training. Turning in for the night and hoping for pleasant dreams for each of you!
