1. I have talked to my principal and informed him that I will not be returning to the district for the 2009-2010 school year.
2. I have decided that I will be moving to the Dallas, TX area in July of 2010.
What does this mean? Well.....
It means that I will start saving money furiously to be able to move in July for one, but it also means that I am at a point in my life where I am ready to no longer be in the "transition" stage. I graduated 2 1/2 yrs ago from college and still haven't quite settled anywhere.
I've decided I am ready to get to where I'm supposed to be and start planting myself somewhere. Why Dallas?
- My graduate program that I have been accepted to requires some face-to-face coursework later in the degree plan, so I would eventually have to move to complete it anyway.
- My original plan after graduation was to move to Dallas area due to heavy recruiting from surrounding districts
- There is potential at UT Dallas to enter a Masters to Doctoral Program in the specific science of disabilities which has always been my main interest
- Plano ISD will PAY for my graduate studies after I work for them for two years
- God is telling me it's time to move on...
I won't be entirely alone in my travels. I have a cousin and future cousin-in-law??? there; an uncle and aunt who have a new baby along the way and a wonderful sorority sister in the surrounding area. The boyfriend has no definite plan of course as to how/when/if he will be moving with me, but we have decided we will take it in stride. Because we are not engaged or married, I have to make decisions that affect me personally at this time. He has said that he is on board for whatever it is I want to do and that we will make it work, no matter what.
All in all, there are big changes coming. Big changes that are exciting and terrifying all at the same time. This journey of life seems to have me all over the place, but I finally feel like I am heading to where I am meant to be.
Keep me in your prayers and I will keep you updated on the "latest."
Love you all!
